Covid-19 still has a significant impact on our University and our community and will most likely do so in the coming period. It is an extraordinary period in which we follow the guidelines issued by the government and National Institute for Public Health and the Environment RIVM so we can continue our activities as much as possible in a safe and responsible way. We have an eye for the well-being of our employees and students and try to support them as best we can. And at the same time, our researchers are doing a great job in researching the coronavirus and how to combat the crisis from multiple angles.
At the beginning of this month, the COVID-19 rules for universities were further eased. This is an important development that helps us to work and study as smoothly as possible. On Tuesday, 14 September 2021 the government announced a new easing of the rules for society as a whole, which also affect the University of Twente. The changes apply from Saturday 25 September.
