How to find scientific information in FindUT
FindUT lets you access our digital collection and request items from our paper collection. FindUT's slogan is Search University of Twente and beyond: You will initially find articles and books that you have access to as a UT member, but you can also see what is available worldwide. You can easily select what you want to find and how the results are presented to you.
In the new FindUT, you will see one of the following three buttons with every publication:
1. View online
This means that you have online access to this publication, for example because the University Library has a subscription to the journal or because the article was published Open Access so anyone has access. Click View online for the pdf.
2. Place hold
This publication is in our paper collection, but it is currently lent out or in our depot. Click Place hold to reserve the publication or have it taken out of the depot. You will need your library number (the eight-digit number on your employee or student ID) and password (by default, your date of birth in the format ddmmyy).
3. Request item
You currently do not have access to this publication, but you can get access through another library at additional costs. Click Request item to fill in the form for ILL (interlibrary loan). A library with access to this publication will send it to us.
If you have any questions, please contact the University Library. We will gladly help you.
