- Data restore on Windows (recover previous version)Restoring individual data Sometimes you accidentally overwrite or remove files. To restore this kind of actions you can restore this data yourself using Previous Versions (PV). For example when you accidentally overwrite or remove a file: Right-click the directory where the file was saved. Click Restore previous versions. Select the date when the right file was available. Click Open. Copy the file to the desired location. Backup/restore Data is saved for one month on redundant hard disks. This back up will only be used for casualties like server failure or broken hard disks. It will not be used for restoring individual files.
- GitLabGitLab is a collaborative environment with version management suitable for software development (DevOps). Examples include project planning, source code management, CI/CD, monitoring and security.
- Group folder (P drive)The Group folder is a standard service for UT organisational units (department, chair). Users of the unit can share data via this folder. Webdrive manuals.
- Home folder (M drive)The Home folder is a standard service for UT employees. At commencement of employment the folder is automatically created (account provisioning); the folder is automatically deleted following employment termination. Webdrive manuals.
- MS OneDriveEvery UT employee and undergraduate has access to MS OneDrive, a service included in the Enterprise Microsoft365 license of UT. An employee or undergraduate account is automatically created (account provisioning) to provide access to the service.
- MS TeamsMS Teams is a Content Collaboration Platform (CCP) for storing and sharing mainly MS Office documents (project data or organisational data) and for collaboration.
- SURFdriveEach UT employee has access to SURFdrive, provided by SURF (Samenwerkende Universiteiten Reken Faciliteiten).
- SURFfilesenderEach UT employee has access to SURFfilesender, provided by SURF (Samenwerkende Universiteiten Reken Faciliteiten). SURFfilesender can be used to send large files, e.g. research data.
- UnishareUniShare is a Content Collaboration Platform (CCP) for storing and sharing research data and for collaboration. The on-premise data is stored in the UT data centres. The service can easily be used by both internal and external users. UniShare can be used for processing large data volumes. Specifications Uses NextCloud technology. A frontend for our storage clusters to ensure data can be easily accessed and used via the Web, clients and mobile devices; Offers options for online joint editing. Supports all major file formats of documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Uses a storage cluster where the data between both UT data centres is synchronised asynchronously. Should one of these data centres go down, the other data centre has to be selected manually. The service will then not be available for some time. The storage cluster is ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certified. - Webdrive for employeesShort link for this page: utwente.nl/webdrive. Announcement Webdrive will soon be discontinued. WebDrive makes it possible to reach your UT documents while you are working at home and/or on your mobile device. Introduction You can reach your data by using Finder, Windows Explorer or a mobile device with WebDAV app (e.g. GoodReader, WebDAV Navigator). The maximum file size is 50 MB. To reach your data, you use a WebDAV protocol. There are several WebDAV clients for different platforms (Apple Mac OS, iOS, Microsoft Windows and Ubuntu Linux). Because the data is transported via internet, you can reach your data nearly everywhere. You don’t need VPN connection and your data is secured by HTTPS connection. - Wiki for employeesShort link for this page: utwente.nl/wiki. Service for sharing information with several people. The information can be supplied and edited by several people. Applications Every UT member of staff can apply for a wiki. This member of staff must specify who should have access to this: who should have read-only access and who can make changes to the wiki. The service is also accessible to UT students and, in mutual consultation, also for participants from outside the UT. Only UT staff can apply for a new wiki. Self-service applications will be possible in the future. Costs No costs are charged for up to 5 GB data storage. Conditions The following is required to use the Wiki: Computer with internet connection ICT account (M number, S number) Delivery The delivery time is a maximum of one working week and delivery takes place during an introductory discussion.
