International Open Access week 2022

In October 24-30 we are celebrating the International Open Access Week! The chosen theme for 2022 is "Climate Justice." At the UT we have organised different activities for students and researchers. Take a look at our highlights below!

New podcast series: Open Talks

The Open Talks podcast series is now a reality! This is a space where researchers, students, and support staff at the University of Twente meet to talk openly—without restrictions—about the most influencing, exciting or concerning trends and practices in academia and science. The first episode was, of course, about open-access publishing at our university. Check it out!

Free cookies! Celebrating Open Access achievements at the UT

free cookiesFree cookies? Yes, that is correct. The International Open Access Week is the perfect moment to recall and celebrate that the University of Twente reached almost 100% open access, based on the monitoring of publications in 2021. Does that mean the job is done? No, we still have many improvements to make. However, UT researchers rightfully deserve a reward and incentive. The distribution of cookie vouchers started last week. UT Library Pop-up Servicedesk for researchers and students

pop-op servicedeskThe UT Library is working hard to make its spaces and services more welcoming and useful to its users. Among many exciting projects, we now have a library pop-up service desk at our disposal. The International Open Access Week was the perfect motive to engage with researchers and students in this way. If you would like to have the (open-access) service desk available at your faculty or event, get in contact with us!
