Research Talk: Metastability for isotropic and anisotropic models with Kawasaki dynamics Simone Baldasssarri (University of Leiden)

Abstract

In this talk we analyze nucleation in the context of the metastable Kawasaki dynamics for the two-dimensional Ising lattice gas at low temperature inside a finite box. This model is known to transition from the empty to the full configuration through the creation of a critical droplet. The aim of this talk is to describe this nucleation and provide the main differences between isotropic and anisotropic models. This talk is based on joint works with F.R. Nardi.
