Snooze introducing the New Sleeping Pod in the University Library

On 16th February, Snooze was introduced to the Library and can be found in the downstairs silent area. Designed for those in need of a power nap or simply a moment to rest and lie down, the sleeping pod offers a comfortable and enclosed space for recharging. Students and staff can store their belongings under the mattress, and hygiene materials along with earplugs are available.

This addition is the culmination of efforts by a group of University Innovation Fellows students. They conducted user research to select the appropriate model and successfully crowdfunded the project through the Inclusion fund, HR and LISA. The students and all stakeholders involved are eager to see the positive impact of the sleeping pod. They hope it will encourage students to take necessary breaks from their studies and offer staff a space to rejuvenate during the workday.
