UT publications, such as dissertations, must be provided with an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) and a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). The University Library is responsible for providing these.
Until now, PhD students received one ISBN from the University Library for their dissertation. This ISBN was used for both the printed and the digital version. As of 1 December 2022, PhD students will receive two separate ISBNs via the Apply for ISBN & DOI form.
