Indonesian Evening 'Everlasting Indonesia'

Continuing the previous success, Indonesian Student Association or better known as Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia in Enschede (PPIE) is delighted to organize another Indonesian Evening this 22nd of November 2018 from 18.00 to 21.00 at University of Twente.

With its theme or tagline “Everlasting Indonesia”, the event that will take place at Horst Building Canteen is expected to make your memories about Indonesia more and more everlasting. For those who do not have (enough) one, it is also a great opportunity to create your new memories about Indonesian culture. The array of the captured sceneries, buildings, as well as the real-life interactions will be showcased in the photo exhibition area to show how grandeur Indonesia as a country and a nation. Some performances will also be presented for you who might have never seen them before such as traditional dances, solo, band, choir, and the quiz. Guided by the interactive master of ceremonies, all art elements from visual, audio, to movements combined with modern technology will be showcased to your very eyes as a pleasant experience—not to mention the big assortment of Indonesian mouthwatering culinary that you can enjoy while watching the performance.

In partnership with some institutions and companies both from Indonesia and The Netherlands, PPIE expects more than 500 visitors to come to this annual event. Raggil Suliza, the chairman of Indonesian Evening, said “As everyone knows, PPIE always organizes two events every year in Overrijssel, those are Indonesian Food Festival and Indonesian Evening. What is going to make the difference between those two is that this Indonesian Evening will have more cultural performance, rather than just focusing on foods. So if you want to cure your homesickness of Indonesian culture or even just about to start knowing about Indonesia, you literally should save the date!”

Visitors are invited to wear their best Indonesian outfit, see and take pictures in the photo booth that will be provided during the event. The performers of Indonesian Evening, who do not only come from Indonesia, have been starting their rehearsals since the middle of October. The team also has been starting their hard work since the beginning of October in preparing to present the best experience of Indonesia for the guests. Last but not least, for those who would like to know how the event will be like, make sure not to miss the sneak peek of ‘Everlasting Indonesia’ pre-event that will be held on 15 November 2018 at 11.00 in front of Waaier Building, University of Twente.

See you at Everlasting Indonesia on 22 November!
