Feeling stressed or just need a break from your studies? The Chameleon Room, the ultimate student living room, was designed by students, for students, as a space to recharge, relax, and take care of your mental well-being.
The Chameleon Room is not another study space, but a safe and inviting place for every student. Whether you want to unwind, chill with friends, or spend some time alone, this space is for you. Located in the University Library at the Vrijhof (VR 275A), the Chameleon Room is open every day from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 23:30 and on weekends from 9:00 to 20:00.
What Can You Do in the Chameleon Room?
Depending on your mood, you can chat with friends, play a board game, meditate, get creative with art and craft materials, do yoga, or read a book on well-being.
Well-being Activities
From 1 October, various well-being activities will also take place in the Chameleon Room:
- International Students Meeting: Every Monday from 15:30 to 17:00, a coach is available to help, answer your questions, talk with you, or share experiences as an international student.
- Walk-in Hours with Confidential Contact Persons (CCPs): These are fellow students trained to listen to you. Meet our CCPs, who are available twice a week.
- Walk-in Hours with a Psychologist once a month.
- Various workshops and activities
Why did UT create this space?
The Chameleon Room was originally developed by IDE students in collaboration with the University Library, the Student Union, and SWIP (Student Well-being Improvement Programme). It’s all about your well-being. As a university we care deeply about your mental health and hope you feel welcome.
Come and discover your new place to recharge!
