Being a student can be challenging. You can be faced with uncertainty, worries, struggles or unpleasant interactions. Sharing experiences with someone your age can feel like a safe and comfortable step.
Therefore, we introduce the Confidential Contact Person (CCP) for students. Or to put it simply: we are trained to be peer listeners and will keep everything you share completely confidential. Let’s talk about it!
We are students of the University of Twente from different studies and backgrounds and have different experiences studying at UT or elsewhere. We support you if you are struggling with something, no matter how big or small. We can give you advice, play a supporting role in finding a solution to a problem, or just listen to you vent. Sometimes that can already be enough, but when you are dealing with bigger issues, a CCP may not have the resources to personally help you, but we can refer you to a professional, or help you seek the support you need and deserve.
So choose a peer listener that you feel comfortable with and let’s talk about it. You can contact one of us and we will be there for you. You can send an email, or leave your phone number and we will contact you as soon as possible.

Then the confidential advisor for students is your contact if you have (had) to deal with unacceptable behaviour. Or you may have witnessed such a situation.
The Confidential Contact Person (CCP) for students is an initiative of the department CES-SACC and the Student Union of UT.
Mehar Askari
My name is Mehar Askari and I am 21 years old. I am a 3rd-year student in my Bachelor's in Creative Technology. I was born in Pakistan, raised in the UK and have lived in the Netherlands for about 11 years now. I am a member of V.A.S Arashi and will be a board member for them in the upcoming year. I am also a member of Proto, my study association, however I am not incredibly active there. I love music and singing. I take singing lessons in my free time. My taste in music ranges from rock n’ roll and punk pop to pop, indie, and kpop and a whole lot inbetween. I also love to draw and animate. I cook a lot in my free time, I watch a lot of anime and I take Pukalan classes at V.A.S. Arashi. I used to play volleyball too. All problems shared will be taken very seriously however I try to make the

Thomas Bax
Hi there, I’m Thomas! I doing my Bachelor's in Technical Medicine and I’m in my second year. I play guitar, live in the city and I love music. I am a member of Paradoks, the TM study association. I’m also a member of AEGEE though I’m not really active. I would describe myself as an honest and open minded, so there’s nothing that we can’t discuss. I am quite easygoing so you can take your time if we talk. I can comfortably adjust and discuss things on your pace, so you don’t feel rushed.

Ethan Höfgen
I am a student at the University College Twente (UCT) in the third year of the programme. I am 23 years old and originally from Amsterdam, where I, among other things, assist my mother in her vegetable garden and I love to go for bicycle rides. I enjoy spending time in the UCT community and actively working on it, but I have moment that I also value being alone in my room sometimes. I like to laugh with others, although I can also be a bit serious at certain moments. My curiosity tends to get the better of me, nonetheless, It makes me very interested in many different things, like the natural sciences, psychology, politics economics and mathematics. I am passionate about sustainability and like to build a career on that fact. I have been in multiple boards these past years both here at the UT (SUSTAIN) and on a national level. Last year I participated as a University Council member which I enjoyed a lot. I do not have many hobbies, but I play videogames, take walks and get distracted by my thoughts. I also like to read and write, but I do it way too little. I can be a direct at times, however I do this in a moderation, as I like others to be comfortable around me. I care a lot about people around me and I like to be there when they need me.

Hey there, my name is Preslava and I am 23 year old Bulgarian student. I moved in the Netherlands 4 years ago and I am currently in my third year of studying Communication Science. I spent the last year in the board of my study association Communique as secretary and officer of internal affairs. Next to being active in Communique, I love watching tennis (really sad about Federer retiring), reading books, I write poetry sometimes and I enjoy a good night out with my friends. Hello, my name is Raymon, I'm 25 years old, and as of writing this rounding up my Master’s in Applied Mathematics. I grew up in Klazienaveen, a small town in the northeast of the Netherlands, where I lived for the first 19 years of my life, before moving to Hengelo to study at the University of Twente. A big hobby of mine is preparing for and playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, apart from that I enjoy playing and practising the guitar, reading, karate, and playing the occasional videogame if I find the time. Rosan Maas
Hey, my name is Rosan! I am a master cyber security student working towards how I can make sure everyone can understand cybersecurity and be cybersafe. In the years that I have been studying here I have actively participated in the activities that the campus has to offer, from sports (ballet and volleybal) to elective courses to take and activities from my study association or helping with the Kick-In for example. This resulted quite quickly in me also becoming active and organising some of these activities myself, even doing a full-time board year at my study association. I am generally known as a very open and honest person though this can make me somewhat direct sometimes.

Heya, I am Greg! I am an English Austrian who is residing in the Netherlands for his 3rd year now! I am 22 and feeling older with each passing year. I was raised in the English countryside in a multicultural house. Hence, I bring the best parts of the two countries to the table! Hi! I am Anouk, a 24 year old student who lives on campus in Enschede. After high school I left the north of the Netherlands to study Biomedical Engineering at the University of Twente. I just started my Master’s in September after four years of Bachelor. Of course, studying is not the only thing I do in Enschede. In my free time I like to play a game of tennis, do yoga in the city, read a book, get creative or do some nature trips. I also enjoy going out and exploring new things with my dispute SIGMA, housemates or friends. Since the beginning of my student days I have been an active member at T.C. Ludica, by doing a board year and being active in several committees. Besides, I also spend some time abroad during my studies.
