JOIN maintenance 28-09-2023

On 28-09-2023  both the JOIN server and JOIN Client software will be updated. This is a regular update and it does not add any mentionable new features to JOIN.

What will be the consequences for users? 

JOIN will be offline on 28-09-2023 from 08:00 until 12:00. After finishing the JOIN update the Maintenance and Failure Calendar will be updated. JOIN is expected to be available in the afternoon. In case of unforeseen delay a status update will be posted on the Maintenance and Failure Calendar.

After the update

  • Web browser:

JOIN supports: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Safari.

  •  JOIN Now Client:

A new version of JOIN Now (the JOIN buttons in Office and Explorer) is available. The latest version of JOIN Now will be installed automatically when connecting with VPN or when using a cabled connection or eduroam-wifi when working on campus.

When problems occur with downloading files from JOIN without using JOIN Now: a solution to this problem is described in ‘Manual for using JOIN without client software’ on the JOIN webpage: https://www.utwente.nl/join

  • Office 2016:

A problem might occur when using JOIN Now in Office 2016. Take a look at the ‘Known issues’ section on https://www.utwente.nl/join for a workaround.
