What to expect?

How can a company organise innovation? How do you anticipate future opportunities and threats for a tech company? And how do you outline a turnaround strategy for a business being overtaken by new technology? In this specialisation, you will gain insights into the latest theories on international technology entrepreneurship and learn how to manage and govern innovation and creativity. You will become an expert in critically analysing and aligning organisational structures and products with innovation strategies.

Examples of courses you (can) follow during this specialisation:

How do trends like globalisation and sustainability affect business models and strategies? You will find out during the course Global Strategy and Business Development. You will use strategic foresight techniques to solve business problems.
The course International Entrepreneurship teaches you all about international technology entrepreneurship (ITE), the entrepreneurial process and International New Technology-Based Ventures, such as university spin-offs.
During the research-oriented course on Management and Governance and Creativity, you will analyse the designs of organisational structure, strategies, networks, and policies for innovation, and how creativity and innovation really work.

In this specialisation, you will learn to understand and apply entrepreneurship, innovation and strategy in a high tech business context. Although you do not need to have a tech background, you will face a lot of high tech, real-life business challenges, stemming directly from trade and industry. This way, by combining academic skills with hands-on experience, you will get to grips with your future career field and build up the expertise many organisations are looking for.
