Following a recent instruction from the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science to manage the influx into bachelor’s programmes, Dutch research universities agreed to wind down the foundation programmes they offer. They also agreed not to sign a new contract with a foundation pathway provider once the current one has expired.
Prior to the Dutch Universities’ decision, the University of Twente and Navitas had extended the existing contract by two years meaning that the TPC contract expires in August 2026.
Our partnership with Navitas is important to the UT, as are the students and staff who form part of the TPC community. TPC contributes to creating a diverse campus and enables a smoother transition to the UT for those students (due to them already being on campus), compared to their counterparts. We therefore look forward to continuing to welcome students to the UT on completion of their TPC programmes, which have intakes in 2024 and 2025.
