Michel Foucault is one of the most influential thinkers of the last century, and a remarkable figure in more than one way.
He worked on striking topics such as madness, crime and punishment, and sexuality. Foucault wrote about knowledge and power, but also on ethics as an art of living. Since his death a pile of biographical books recounted his turbulent life. More importantly, his thinking continues to inspire many in philosophy and beyond.
Steven Dorrestijn PhD is philosopher at Saxion. Following his interest in Foucault, he also studied in Paris.
