Embrace the journey of growth at the University of Twente

Hello everyone, I'm from Greece, and my name is Dimitrios Katsantonis. I'm a third-year bachelor's student studying information technology and business. I choose this program to broaden my knowledge of the range of IT and business-related careers available. While studying, I came to the realization that I wanted to pursue a career in cybersecurity therefore I will start my master's in that subject at the same university in September.

Why the University of Twente?

I always intended to pursue a bachelor's degree with a focus on business and IT, followed by a more specialised and technical master's degree, which would depend on the courses I chose. The only technical institution in the Netherlands providing this degree was Utwente, which specialises in business information technology and is ranked among the top 10 in the world. Additionally, bachelor's degree holders at Utwente who complete this programme are automatically admitted to the specialised master's programme in computer science, which piqued my attention.

Do you have a question for me?

You can get in touch with me via the Greek Portal on Facebook or the Geek Instagram account! Feel free to ask your questions in Greek or English about the University, the bachelor's and master's programmes, or life in Enschede. I look forward to hearing from you!

Why the NETHERLANDS

After graduating from a French school, I had the choice to pursue my studies in France or another country in Europe. I was first considering the Netherlands because of its excellent educational system, which is home to some of the top universities in the world, as well as its generally inexpensive tuition and student life. I did a lot of research in the past, mostly in the EU, and discovered that Dutch institutions often provided a greater variety of programmes taught in English, which attracted me to study there.
