DESCRIPTIONS
This bespoke course is designed for staff members who are looking for a refresher course to increase confidence in spoken and/or written English. Individual needs of students will be addressed, allowing participants to learn grammar and vocabulary quickly and efficiently. The course takes place in a small group and provides students with a safe environment and fun activities where they can improve their communication skills.
RESULT
The focus lies in refreshing existing knowledge, building confidence, acquiring new vocabulary, and improving speaking and pronunciation, using real-world scenarios and topics to make the work relevant to language used in the workplace.
DURATION AND TIME INVESTMENT
The course will consist of eight, two-hour sessions, over the course of eight weeks. A small amount of homework will be set each week, typically a short progress check or an optional written task focusing on writing emails. There is no need for pre-existing knowledge.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
The course will be given at C1 or Advanced CAE level. No intake is required, and anyone is welcome no matter what your initial level is. The course is targeted at both academic and non-academic staff.
