- Business integrityBusiness integrity is the third pillar of UT's House of Integrity and covers the regulations and procedures we have at the University of Twente and the extent to which we comply with them. Information security and ethics in operational management are key elements in this field. At the University of Twente, we encourage a culture in which dilemmas can be discussed openly and safely. We work to achieve accessibility and clarity in regulations and procedures. Business integrity is also about governance, risk and compliance (GRC). This is a collection of processes and practices across a range of departments and positions that facilitate reliable delivery of an organisation’s objectives. Uncertainties can be addressed through GRC. All this helps us as an institution to act with integrity. - Social integrityIn the area of social integrity, the UT maintains the highest standards. Recent developments have made us even more aware of the importance of collectively living up to these values and standards to ensure a safe living and working atmosphere. These cover everything from the MeToo movement and the role of the labour inspectorate to the obligations arising from the Working Conditions Act (Risk Assessment and Evaluation, RA&E) and other developments as regards dealing with transgressive behaviour. It is important to know where to turn, your rights and obligations and the procedures that exist within the University of Twente in the event of complaints, improper treatment or other forms of unacceptable behaviour. All of these aspects come under the banner of social integrity, one of the three pillars in UT's House of Integrity.
