ATLAS organizes EXPO

Students and staff of ATLAS, the bachelor’s programme of University College Twente, will show their work in the yearly EXPO. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the entire event will be hosted online on Friday 3 July 2020. This year's theme is "ATLAS all over the world".

Fully online event

This online event allows to explore, experience and be inspired by the unique educational programme of the University College Twente. Jarmo Schoemaker, organiser and first-year ATLAS student says: “Organising a completely online EXPO is exciting. It asks for thinking out-of-the-box and looking for creative solutions. Where my predecessors could build on the experiences from previous years, I, together with the team, needed to start from scratch with very little experience with online events.”

During this one-of-a-kind event, it will be visible what the bachelor’s programme "Technology and Liberal Arts and Sciences" (ATLAS) is about and what students and teachers work on through the year. “Everyone is free to join us in our true end-of-the-year tradition”, says Schoemaker

About ATLAS

ATLAS is a unique bachelor’s programme, aimed at forming a new way of learning for students who not only have a broad background but are also are aware of the global community we live in. The project-based teamwork and curriculum contain courses in subjects of science & mathematics and social sciences. Students learn about these subjects in interactive courses and projects.

ATLAS focusses on personal development and self-directed learning. Students set the goals for their own learning by designing their own programme: they choose their courses and have a personal pursuit as part of their curriculum. This personal pursuit is a project with which students pursue their areas of personal interests.
