The increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) means that more and more workers are collaborating with smart technology. This collaboration brings both challenges and opportunities. One thing seems certain: the use of AI at work will affect employees' tasks and quality of work. What makes current AI developments special is that highly skilled knowledge workers - such as developers, consultants, lawyers as well as academics - are also going to collaborate with AI applications. How they experience this collaboration and what will change in their work through the use of AI is still relatively unknown. This is therefore the theme of the final symposium of the SAMKIN research project.
The symposium will discuss the role of AI in knowledge work and share the results of the Institute Gak-funded research on the experiences and changes in the work of knowledge workers. We will also address organisational changes resulting from human-AI collaboration.
Symposium participants will hear from speakers about what is involved in the development and use of AI and will also discuss with each other the consequences of AI in their own (knowledge) work. And yes, academics are, of course, knowledge workers too!
Are you interested in the latest developments in AI and its impact on knowledge work? Then don't miss this symposium!
