* TechMed Workshop: Going beyond the obvious: funding options on a fixed-term contract (TL 2148) The workshop
Everyone knows one of the most important activities in academia is applying for funding. Many believe this is only possible for people with a tenured position. Think again! The TechMed Funding Officers would like to show you there are plenty funding opportunities that you can apply for when on a fixed-term contract, as long as you also dare to look beyond the obvious funding sources. This one-hour workshop aims to give more insight into those possibilities. Furthermore, it will provide you with practical tools on how to look for funding opportunities and how to phrase your research in such a way that it catches the eye of the funders.
This workshop will consist of the following parts:
- Short introduction in TechMed Funding support
- What funding possibilities are out there and how to find them?
- How to write a proposal with impact?

* TechMed Workshop: Towards successful Health Tech Implementation: why you should be an early-bird (TL 1336) the workshop
At the UT, we want to research and develop Health Tech innovations that ultimately get implemented and that make an impact in society. However, there are many challenges going from basic idea to actual (clinical) use. How and when to assess and address such challenges? Short answer: As early as possible! And we can support you…
In this workshop, you will learn about important implementation barriers that can be addressed in an early (research) stage. We will analyze several cases using available support tools, and we will discuss your own needs and requirements for support. Are you ready to create impact?

* TechMed Workshop: Clinical research: WMO/MDR applicable yes or no (TL 2148) The workshop
Clinical research in the Netherlands has to comply with several laws and regulations. For research within the TechMed Centre, the most important ones are the Medical Research Involving Humans Subjects Act (WMO) and the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR). When these laws apply, the research has to be reviewed by a Medical Research Ethics Committee, before commencing. In practice however, it is not always immediately clear whether research is subject to the WMO and/or MDR. In this workshop we will introduce you to the legislative framework of clinical research at the UT and discuss different practical cases together. There will also be room to discuss your own research project.c

Recap of the 2022 edition
On June 16, the TechMed Research Day took place and we had a lot of fun! It was of course very nice to meet each other live again, but above all the presented research made us very proud: you work on beautiful projects! It makes us curious about the follow-up and all the other research that even wasn't presented. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the programme. Together we made this event a success!
During the poster session, more than 30 posters were presented and judged by the attendees. Actually, all posters were very good, but 3 winners were chosen by you: Alexis Wolfel (DBE), Lisa Rutten (M3i) and Marijn Mulder (CRPH).
