RESULT & CONTENT
Through preparation, workshop and reflection, participants will learn how design thinking differs from (the often dominant) scientific way of thinking and how they can benefit from it and use it in their PhD project. In the workshop that will be held in the DesignLab of UT, participants will be informed about the DesignLab method and general theory on creativity and design thinking. Furthermore, in a creative session, we will work in small groups and apply various creativity techniques to problems/ issues that the participants bring to the table. Participants will leave the workshop with knowledge about creativity, a range of new creative tools that they can use and with new ideas for their PhD project. Participants will then write a reflection on how creativity techniques have helped generating new ideas OR a plan to integrate design thinking and creativity / creativity techniques in their project in the future. They will receive expert feedback on this reflection report.
