Less is more: Efficient Hydrogen Production with Less Precious Metals
In a step towards sustainable energy, a team of researchers at the University of Twente led by Dr Marco Altomare have demonstrated a new method to reduce the use of precious metals such as platinum in green hydrogen production without sacrificing performance. The researchers published their findings in the Wiley VCH scientific journal Advanced Functional Materials.
Seven UT researchers receive Veni grant
The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) awarded a staggering seven UT researchers a Veni grant. Hannah Roth, Ashkan Ghanbarzadeh-Dagheyan, Estefania Talavera Martínez, Sophie Langer, Robbin Jan van Duijne, Rai McLean and Marijn Nijenhuis will receive funding of up to EUR 320,000 to develop their research ideas further over the next three years. 174 promising young scientists received Veni grants this round.
