On 19 March 9 young UT students and scientists will present their research during engaging three-minute pitches in front of a general audience. The contestants have to impress the judging panel and the public, presenting a scientific topic of their choice. No slides, only props are allowed and the pitches are in English. The presentations will be judged on Content, Clarity, Charisma.

FameLab is the international competition for science communication of the British Council en Cheltenham Festivals. For the coming 2018 edition, the heats will be organized and hosted by 6 Dutch universities, including the University of Twente. Since its launch at the Cheltenham Science Festival in the UK in 2015, FameLab has become the world’s leading science communication competition with preliminary rounds in 30 countries and more than 7000 participants.
