The Strategy & Policy (SP) department drives the ongoing development and improvement of cross-faculty strategies and policies on education, research, economic and societal impact. SP underpins this by facilitating the entire policy cycle to enhance the University of Twente's position in its playing field.

Educational Development (EDU)
The EDU cluster is responsible for quality assurance, hbo/wo agreements (incl doorstroommatrix), UNL support, University Committee for Education (UC-E, former UCOW) support, 4TU educational activities, Npulse (Surf), groeifonds, educational vision, legal affairs (OER/EER and more), Life Long Learning, etc·
Research and Innovation (RI)
The Research & Innovation cluster works on the UT-wide research and innovation strategy, research evaluations, research infrastructure, research allocation model, University Committee for Research and University Committee for Innovation, advice on R&I matters discussed in UNL, NWO and OCW context, sector plans, and supports 4TU Research, VU-UT Research, and Young Academy Twente. Colleagues of the team are also involved in Recognition and Rewards and Open Science.
International Affairs (INT)
Responsible for focus countries, strategic partnerships, international agreements, ECIU, Erasmus Policy Statement, joint educational programmes, language policy, scholarships, etc.
