The Strategy & Policy (SP) department is the strategic partner of the faculties, institutes and the Executive Board in translating developments in Twente, the Netherlands and the world into strategy, policy and governance at the UT. In this way, we strengthen the position of the University of Twente as an entrepreneurial and socially engaged fourth-generation university.
Director
Strategy & Development
Responsibilities at team level: steering the UT’s strategic direction and positioning. Coordinating and maintaining external and internal strategic relationships at group level. This in close collaboration with the UT’s senior management and the other S&P teams.
Policy
Responsibilities at team level: steering substantive policy in the field of the UT’s core tasks and the integration and/or coherence between them at group level; coordinating and maintaining external and internal relationships focused on policymaking. This is done in close collaboration with the UT’s senior management and policy staff of the faculties and services, as well as the other S&P teams.
Governance & Steering (G&S)
Responsibilities at team level: leading the continuous data-driven improvement of management, planning and control at group level within the UT. Ensuring the execution capacity of S&P within the UT for P&C and strategic programmes. This is done in close collaboration with UT senior management and staff in the faculties and services working on planning and control processes, and the other S&P teams.
