Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Advisory Board
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Advisory Board, formerly the Ambassadors' Network, was founded in 2006. It started as a network with specific attention and support for career paths for women in science and nowadays has broadened the focus to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I).
The DE&I Advisory Board is an active interdisciplinary group consisting of both support and scientific staff from all over the UT that advises the Executive Board on DE&I topics . The members are passionate about DE&I matters and committed to promoting a diverse, equitable and inclusive university. They both act as ambassadors to, and on behalf of the organisation, exchange ideas and best practices and actively listen to which topics need attention. The DE&I Advisory Board has an active advisory role at UT in supporting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Referring to and connecting with those responsible for implementing DE&I is also an important part of our role.
The DE&I Advisory Board provides (un)solicited advice on DE&I-related topics such as HR policy, internationalisation, research, data and monitoring to the Executive Board.
Every year, the DE&I Advisory Board meets with various groups within UT. The meetings are a moment to exchange ideas, best practices and to advise on DE&I related topics. Meetings are held with:
- Executive Board (EB) | at least once a year
- Faculty Boards and Service Departments | at least once a year per unit
- DE&I Team | at least once per quarter
- Dutch Network of Women Professors (LNVH) | once a year with EB
- Female Faculty Network Twente (FFNT)
- OBP Vrouwen Netwerk (OBP-VN)
- Th!nk with Pride
- P-NUT
