Promoting Safe Societies

The Resilience@UT programme is building towards a knowledge centre to better understand and address complex safety and security challenges. It does so by generating and disseminating knowledge through education and research that connects the diverse disciplines with technologies and by engaging with societal stakeholders. 

The focus of the Safe Societies sub-programme is on the following themes:  

Related topics such as fraud detection and crisis & risk communication are also examined.  

The UT through its respective faculties that are involved in safety and security is a member of or partnering with the following initiatives and organizations:


Symposium: Understanding and managing (systemic) risks in turbulent times: Climate, markets and culture.
An event of the UT Working Group on Risks and Societal Resilience
Thu. 15 Feb. 2024,  9.00 – 12.00 followed by informal discussion afterwards until 12.30.
