The Executive Board has appointed David Korringa as portfolio holder operational management at the ITC faculty. As of 1 December 2019 he will succeed Erna Leurink.
Korringa takes this step after having fulfilled the similar position at the faculty ET for the past four years. Before, David was for eight years holding the position of director of what was then called the Facility Department. The nomination advisory committee states that David has a lot of experience in the field of portfolio activities. He knows the UT very well because of his experience within both the service departments as the faculties. Furthermore, he is balanced and careful, a solid all-round manager, naturally curious and intrinsically motivated to work at the Faculty ITC.
Korringa says about his career move: "It is a fantastic opportunity to personally contribute to the challenging issues that ITC faces. With my knowledge of the UT, I sincerely hope to strengthen the connection between ITC and the UT. Firstly, I want to listen carefully to the expectations within ITC." The Executive Board will, together with the ET faculty, soon initiate the recruitment for a new portfolio holder for operational management at the ET faculty.
