This two-day course aims to teach and guide UT's Doctoral Candidates through an enjoyable, thought provoking and productive discovery of how each can transform the mind-set and outputs of their research areas into drivers of future university growth and resiliency to the challenges from an increasingly competitive, internationalized environment.
The course is about entrepreneurs, their motivations, and how they work to create value for themselves and others. Partipicants will be introduced to entrepreneurial learning and planning tools and the 'Business Model Canvas' method to quickly determine if there is a venture behind their ideas and how it can be created. In the context of a university setting, they will also learn the essentials of attracting and collaborating with team mates to help improve and realize their ideas. NIKOS Joost Brinkman, Patrick Bliek and Annemarie Ridder and NOVEL T's Mike Verkouter work together in this first pilot of the Entrepreneurial Behaviour course in 2018, which will be inspirationally led by Neil Sheridan from SVPI who is also the successful trainer of the yearly EntrepreneurialU Summer School. According to TGS director Paul van Dijk, who initiated this course together with NIKOS department head Petra de Weerd-Nederhof: "If the pilot is a succes, TGS will be offering a number of these courses in 2019 and onwards".
