Dennis van Zijl, director of Finance at the University of Twente, has decided, in consultation with the Executive Board, to leave UT from mid-June. Dennis has been with UT since November 2019. In his role, he has made a significant contribution to the professionalisation of the finance organisation and the finance function.
Dennis van Zijl on his departure: ‘I have experienced the past 5.5 years as an intensive and insightful period. It is now time for a new chapter, for me and for UT. At a time when the organisation is facing complex financial and organisational choices, the next phase calls for new leadership, with a fresh outlook.
I am proud of what has been achieved in the past few years and how the financial column and the Finance department are doing. Of course, there are still points for attention, so there is still plenty to do. I therefore take my leave with the confidence that the UT in general and the Finance Department and the financial column in particular will have a bright and financially stable future in the years to come.’
The Executive Board thanks Dennis for his great commitment and collegiality in recent years and wishes him every success and joy in his further career.
Recruitment for the vacant position will start shortly.
