Open session Environmental Philosophy of Technology Reading Group

This Earth Day, 22nd April, the Environmental Philosophy and Technology (EPT) research group would like to invite you to a special open session of the EPT Reading Group. Earth Day is an opportunity for us all to consider ways in which our work can support and inform issues related to socio-ecological well being environmental protection, and we'd like to propose our group as a forum for these conversations!

The EPT Reading Group meets once a month to discuss themes such as animal ethics, anti/(de)coloniality, climate justice, environmental politics, intersectionality, values in relation to nature, and the intersection between environmental philosophy and the philosophy of science/technology. A list of past readings is available on our website.

This open meeting would be a good opportunity for colleagues to get a taste of the group to see if they would like to join moving forward while also celebrating Earth Day.

Ph.D candidate Linde Franken will present "Planetary justice reconsidered: developing response - abilities in planetary relations" by Milja Kurki, on April 22nd, 14.00-15:30 in RA1247. As normal, this will be hybrid, so please do not hesitate to join either online or in person. For a copy of the reading, or for more questions about the group, please contact Dr. Bennet Francis (b.j.francis@utwente.nl ) or Dr. Alexandria Poole (a.k.poole@utwente.nl).
