ESAO biedt een platform voor de uitwisseling van kennis en ervaringen tussen professionals uit verschillende disciplines, waaronder ingenieurs, medische professionals, biologen en anderen die betrokken zijn bij het onderzoek en de ontwikkeling van kunstmatige organen. De vereniging organiseert regelmatig conferenties, seminars en workshops waar de nieuwste wetenschappelijke bevindingen worden gepresenteerd en besproken.
Daarnaast ondersteunt ESAO de samenwerking tussen onderzoekers, klinieken, de industrie en andere organisaties om translationeel onderzoek te bevorderen en innovatieve technologieën op het gebied van kunstmatige organen te stimuleren.

Our mission is to provide innovative technological solutions to patients with chronic and malignant diseases, aiming to improve their quality of life. We are dedicated to educating a new generation of professionals with interdisciplinary knowledge to meet future patient treatment needs.
We achieve our mission by applying cutting-edge technologies at the intersection of chemistry, biomaterials and membrane science, additive manufacturing, fabrication, tissue engineering, and nanomedicine. AOT leverages unique expertise in (bio)artificial organs, targeted therapeutics, biomaterials, and regenerative medicine.
