We are delighted to invite you to the Opening of the Academic Year at the University of Twente on Monday 4 September 2023. This event will take place at the beautiful Wilminktheater in the city center of Enschede, and we are honored to welcome outgoing Minister Robbert Dijkgraaf (ministry of education, culture and science) as our keynote speaker.
During this celebration, we will reflect on the past year and look ahead to the prospects and developments that the new academic year will bring in these uncertain times. This ceremony is an opportunity to spotlight inspiring colleagues, listen to thought-provoking speakers, enjoy music and network with our academic and local community.
This year's theme is "I'm part of our Pact," emphasizing collaboration – within the UT, in the region, and across institutions – in making an impact together for a better future. Minister Dijkgraaf will address the broad topic of collaboration in his speech and seek to inspire us with his vision for the future of education in the Netherlands.
We look forward to sharing our enthusiasm for the UT’s innovative ideas and education with you, while exploring new opportunities and collaborations for the future at the opening of the Academic Year on 4 September. The event will start at 15:00 at the Wilminktheater and you are welcome from 14:00 for coffee and tea.
