'EVERY CONNECTION HAS A STORY!' THE THEME OF THE OPENING OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023 ON MONDAY 5 SEPTEMBER.

The 5th of September marks the start of a new academic year. The start of new connections, new adventures, new stories. And we would like you to be part of it! Join us at the festive Opening of the Academic Year (OAY) 2022/2023.

Next generation stories
Every connection has a story, remember? In line with the theme of the 60th Dies Natalis, the OAY centres once again around the inspiring connections and stories within our UT community. This time, we will look forward to the stories of the future. Next generation stories. Stories about mental health in our digital societynew ways of storing energyinnovation in education, and diversity.

Music of Bökkers
The OAY promises to be an exciting event, hosted by the multitalented Brahma Ramsodit and musically accompanied by none other than the dialect rockband Bökkers. The afternoon will end with a spectacular uncovering of a new artwork that you surely do not want to miss!

Share your thoughts on Shaping2030
Prior to the OAY, you are welcomed at the walk-in of the Shaping Expert Groups (SEG’s). In the past two years, the six SEG’s worked hard to make Sustainability, Innovation of Education, Individuals & Teams, Citizen Science, Digitalisation, and Inclusion more tangible. What do we mean by these topics, how are we doing as UT and as members of the UT community in these areas, and what could be improved?

As Shaping was started together with a series of inspirational sessions that nearly 650 UT staff members and students attended, the SEG’s would like to share with all of you the first results and advices. So let’s talk it over and share your thoughts at the walk-in from 13.30h at the Waaier.
