Programme closing ceremony 1 July 2022: First class of Mechanical Engineering students at VU Amsterdam graduates

This summer, the first class of Mechanical Engineering students will graduate in Amsterdam. We will celebrate this on Friday afternoon 1 July 2022. The graduating students will come together with their families, teachers who stood at the basis of the ME programme, deans of the faculties involved and the Executive Boards of both universities to mark this milestone.

The programme is moderated by none other than Diederik Jekel, a well-known physicist, science journalist, presenter and alumnus of the UT. He will host an attractive programme including an exhibitions of student projects, a quiz, a photo moment and of course a closing with drinks.

Location: Griffioenzaal (Theaterzaal 2) in the NU Building, De Boelelaan 1111, Amsterdam
Time: the programme starts at 15:00 and around 16:45 drinks will be served.

We are very proud of this first batch of graduates as true pioneers within the

VU Amsterdam - UT collaboration. With the launch of this first joint bachelor's programme in Amsterdam in 2019, the collaboration between Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the University of Twente officially got off to a flying start. It is an important first step in spreading engineering education more widely across the country and in contributing to the education of more highly educated, broadly oriented, and socially involved engineering professionals. The demand for such professionals in society is enormous.

Plenty of reasons for a festive graduation ceremony.
