Traditionally, the New Year’s Breakfast is the first big gathering of the year at the University of Twente. It is time to look back at the past year and, more so, to shape plans for the upcoming year. Although we still cannot shake hands in a large crowd as we used to do, we have organised an event that has the same atmosphere of togetherness. We would like to invite you to the online New Year’s Event ‘Shaping 2021 Together’ at 4 January 2021 starting at 15.30.
Although 2020 was a year that took a dramatic turn in the Spring, there surely are highlights to mark. We have all made a tremendous effort to keep things going, and there were many sparks that kept up the spirit. During the New Year’s Event, for example, we will award the ‘UT in the Media Prize’. And we will look ahead at 2021, the year of UT’s 60th anniversary.
We will not meet for breakfast this year, but at the end of the afternoon we will play a pub quiz together! Join in by yourself or get a team together at your home. Bring in drinks and snacks and enjoy the programme on 4 January. There will be a nice prize for the winner.
