Health Valley Event 2020

HVE 2020 offers an inspirational programme. We invite all professionals in healthcare, health innovation, education and science, entrepreneurs and government officials to share their knowledge and experience. It’s a great opportunity to connect with other visitors and to expand your network. HVE is the platform to shape the future of healthcare! HealthValleyEvent Programme

The TechMed Centre supports this international event with a tour to the Twente Region (10 March, more info below), a plenary keynote from Prof. Massimo Sartori, knowledge sessions chaired by Prof. Miriam Vollenbroek-Hutten, Ir. Remke Burie, and several speakers throughout the conference program. We look forward to (re)connect with you at the Twente Square on the exhibition floor on 11 and 12 March.

the twente tour - 10 march

In the Twente Region, companies, regional healthcare institutions, insurers, patients and citizens work together to shape the future of health and wellbeing. At the heart of the MedTech Cluster in Twente is the all-new TechMed Centre on the campus of the University of Twente. Opened in November by King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands, the TechMed Centre’s mission is to improve healthcare by bringing together education, research and new business.

In the Regio Tour Twente, we demonstrate examples of personalized medicine where each patient’s unique characteristics lead to a targeted treatment approach specific to the individual person. You can see and experience new sensing systems that collect data on body movements, revolutionized robotic imaging and treatment tools, and 3D printed models for personalized surgical preparation.

The tour starts in the TechMed Centre, where you will be introduced to Twente’s thriving MedTech cluster. After that, you can choose one of two parallel tracks on smart technologies at home, including a visit to the eHealth House, BMS lab, Roessingh Research and Development Centre and TZA, or personalized medicine in oncology, with a tour through the TechMed Imaging lab and the joint 3D printing initiative from Medisch Spectrum Twente hospital and Saxion.
