DEAN Alumni Gathering: Paris

With over 2500 Dutch Engineer ‘local’ alumni, France is one of our biggest Dutch Engineers Alumni Network (DEAN) communities in the world. Two upcoming events in France this Summer present a wonderful opportunity for bringing this network together. DEAN (alumni of TU Delft, TU/e, UTwente, and Wageningen) launched its first activities in the USA back in 2014 and since then has grown to include communities in Australia, Canada, the Nordics, Spain and Switzerland. And gatherings are now also taking place in Paris (and Monaco*)!

In early July the Solar Boat student teams of Twente and TU Delft are participating in the Solar & Energy Boat Challenge in Monaco. During a special alumni event in Paris representatives from the teams will tell you about the long journey leading up to this competition and afterwards their actual experiences in the water. The evening will also include a short talk by Wageningen alumna ir. Julie Vermooten, Director of Europe Public Policy and Government Relations, Animal Health at Merck Sharp & Dohme (Belgium) who will share her expat work experiences in France and Belgium.

You will also get an update from both the UT and the other TU's in the Netherlands: what is happening at your Alma Mater. Of course there will also be plenty of time to get to know each other. With such a large community present, these events are the perfect chance to both catch up with old classmates as well as make interesting new contacts!
