INTRODUCTION
The first Crossborder Symposium UTwente – WWU Münster on Imaging for Diagnosis and Therapy in November 2017 was met with considerable interest by researchers from both universities. In the meantime, seven joint project groups have been successfully established and a competition for initial funding by both universities was held.
In order to deepen collaboration we invite you to the 2nd Crossborder Symposium UTwente – WWU Münster on Imaging for Diagnosis and Imaging, which will be held at the University of Münster on the 15th of February 2019. The main focus of this meeting will be on the project groups and their initiated and planned projects. Of equal importance will be again strategies to obtain external project funding. We were able to get Professor Andreas Jacobs, coordinator of the collaborative EU projects Diagnostic Molecular Imaging (DiMI) and Imaging of Neuroinflammation in Neurodegenerative Diseases (INMiND), to give us insights into his highly successful applications for collaborative funding on an EU-wide scale.
