How to Publish in AMJ – Meet the Editor!

INVITATION ESIM-NIKOS SPECIAL SEMINAR

Dear colleagues,

We cordially invite you to our seminar on ‘How to Publish in Academy of Management Journal’, the highest ranked empirical research journal in the management domain.

In this talk, Marc Gruber (EPFL) will share his experience as Deputy Editor at the Academy of Management Journal (AMJ). He will discuss the publication process at AMJ, shed light on commonly encountered weak features of research papers submitted to general management journals, and also elaborate on issues that potential authors should watch out for when articulating their research insights and drafting their manuscripts for outlets such as AMJ.

Marc Gruber is Vice President for Innovation at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and full professor at the College of Management of Technology at EPFL where he holds the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Technology Commercialization (ENTC). Marc has published his research on innovation, strategy and entrepreneurship in several leading journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Management Science, Strategic Management Journal, and the Journal of Business Venturing. In an independent research study on the most impactful entrepreneurship scholars (Gupta et al., 2016), Marc was ranked as the worldwide #1 researcher in entrepreneurship for the 2005-2015 period (shared #1 spot), and among the worldwide top 5 for the 2000-2015 period. Beyond his research work, he is currently authoring a textbook on technology commercialization and was the co-editor of a textbook on entrepreneurship as well as a regular contributor to a weekly column on entrepreneurship in the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung".

We are looking forward to exciting discussions on how to draft our research for outlets such as AMJ!
