Pantelis Bampoulis recieves a Vidi grant from the Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO).
Enigineering of the electronic materials of the future
Bampoulis will research the potential of 2D materials. Besides new scientific discoveries, this will also pave the way for technological innovations like dissipationless transport and quantumcomputing. Bampoulis will utilize the potential of the 2D material germanene. Earlier Bampoulis demonstrated that germanene is a topological isolator, making dissipationless transport feasible.
