University of Twente awaits decision on mouth masks

On Wednesday 30 September, the Dutch national government has announced an urgent advice to wear mouth masks in a number of situations. The text of this announcement can be found on the website of the Rijksoverheid. A more detailed decision of the national government will be announced at latest Friday 2 October 18.00.

To combat the spread of COVID-19, the University of Twente operates in accordance with national guidelines ever since the outbreak of the virus. We will carefully assess the precise and final advice as soon as it is published and will determine if and how this will affect UT and our campus. For now, the situation remains unchanged.

We will update you on the latest developments through a news item on the UT website in the course of this weekend.
