Yesterday, our colleague Karin Groothuis won the best English speaking lecturer of 2019 award! Moreover, she took second place in the Best Teacher competition, while Pricivil Carrera, also from our department, took the third place. Janneke Alers, from the department of developmental bioengineering won the first prize. These awards are part of the yearly Decentral Educational Awards ceremony which is organised, among others, by the student association SIRIUS. The 'Best Teacher Award' is the award for the teacher with the most votes from students. We congratulate Karin and Pricivil with their good performance and are happy the enthusiasm and effort they put in developing and teaching courses for the bachelor and master programs of Health Sciences is recognized by its students!
