As of 1 February 2020, Atilla Kerpisci will start in his new position as Managing Director of the Strategic Business Development (SBD) team at the University of Twente. As Managing Director, he will co shape and implement the vision and strategy of SBD. His challenge lies in strengthening and expanding the network of strategic relationships and in establishing effective collaboration and close connections with faculties, institutes and service departments. The focus is on streamlining business processes, ensuring a strong relationship management, achieving sustainable results and on further strengthening the reputation of the UT as a business partner. As Managing Director Atilla Kerpisci is also responsible for the internal SBD organization.
For the past eight years, Kerpisci has been Director of Marketing and Communication at the UT. In this position he was responsible for the further development and innovation of the marketing and communication organization. Besides strengthening the student influx, the corporate communication approach and the UT reputation, Atilla Kerpisci has contributed to the development of the past UT strategy “Vision 2020” and the upcoming mission, vision and strategy of “Shaping 2030.” Here, he focused primarily on the positioning and branding of the UT and its various components.
Kerpisci has also made a strong commitment to the entrepreneurship profile of the UT and student activism. He expanded the internal and external network of the UT, among other things as the initiator of the “UT Entrepreneurial Challenge” and as a committee member of the UT Student Teams.
Atilla Kerpisci is also active in various ancillary positions. For example, he is a Supervisory Board member of the U Parkhotel and a member of the Advisory Board of the International School Twente (IST), as well as of the “Universiteit van Nederland.” He is also a member of the Kick-In steering group of the Student Union and core supervisor of the Solar Team Twente.
Before joining the UT, Kerpisci was active in the business-to-business area for more than twenty years. He has held various positions, in account management, marketing management and business consultancy at KPN. Later he became business unit director at brand management agency NykampNyboer. During these positions, he developed and launched new partnerships, products and services and has put these on the market.
