From Frankenstein to Hyperbrain: Playful look into the future by students University of Twente

‘Have Fun & Play’ End Exhibition at DesignLab

From the birth of a robot to an omnipotent cyborg. On Tuesday July 3, Creative Technology students will reveal the interactive art installations they have been working on for weeks at DesignLab University of Twente. The exhibition is the final result of the educational module 'Have Fun & Play'. A selection of the students’ creations will be presented at the multimedia festival GOGBOT (September 6-9), which combines technology and art. During the exhibition at DesignLab, those who are interested can get a sneak preview.

The Creative Technology ('CreaTe') program has been collaborating with GOGBOT for many years. This time, the theme of the installations is 'Future Flash 200: from Frankenstein to Hyperbrain'.

It was 200 years ago that Mary Shelley wrote the novel Frankenstein, the world's first science fiction novel. That is why Creative Technology and GOGBOT are now looking 200 years into the future. What will the future bring us: hyper brains, robots that will outsmart humans or total apocalyptic chaos? With these interactive installations, the CreaTe students will show us a playful look into the future.

The ‘Have Fun & Play’ Exhibition on July 3 is freely accessible for all who are interested. There is no need to register for this event.
