After a long period of illness our 3rd-year BSc-student Mechanical Engineering Thomas Willet passed away, sooner than expected, last Tuesday 27th of May 2014.
Thomas was a very talented student: incredibly intelligent, creative, athletic and very warm-hearted. Next to this, he was hard working and had a healthy drive to excel. He kept his calm and positive spirit most of the time during his illness. As his family and fellow students emphasized during the memorial service, he was an inspiration and example for many.
On behalf of staff and students of the faculty of Engineering Technology, programme of Mechanical Engineering, we offer our condolences to his father Has, mother Gemma, his partner Elodie, his brother and sisters Joeri & Iris and Yanina and all other friends and loved ones. We wish them strength to carry this great loss.
