Wednesday 12 March 2014
For the last couple of years the UT has been using the NS Business Card (NS-BC) for business travel within the Netherlands. The current card will expire on 1 April 2014. Therefore all cards will be replaced by the end of March. Between the new and the old card there are some differences:
- Check in / out only (booking train travel in advance disappears)
- All forms of public transport (tram, metro, train and bus) and all carriers in the Netherlands are connected to the card
- Commuter travel by public transport will be integrated into the NS-BC
- No discount percentage on the standard card (discount via seasonal tickets can be (de)activated per month by your NS-BC contact)
- Valid for 5 years
Mid-March Employees with a personal NS-BC and holders of the departments cards will receive a message from their contact with more detailed information. As of April commuter travel by public transport will also be integrated into the NS-BC. Employees with an Public transport pass provided by the UT will be notified by HR. More information will be available soon on www.utwente.nl/hr/en/info_voor/medewerkers/vervoer_en_verblijf/ns-bc.
