For the seventh year running, students of Saxion University of Applied Sciences and the University of Twente are presenting their graduation projects in the Bijenkorf in Enschede under the name Twents Design. Students enrolled in the Industrial Product Design (IPD) programme at Saxion University of Applied Sciences and the Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) programme at the University of Twente will be putting their futuristic product designs on display to the general public.
Visitors to the Bijenkorf department store will be able to inspect a wide range of innovative products, designed by up-and-coming designers and engineers. The students worked together on the designs, many of which were commissioned by regional companies and knowledge centres. The designs on display feature a new gift pack design for Grolsch, and a futuristic electric scooter commissioned by the scooter manufacturer, Novox. The Enschede-based 100% FAT has designed innovative binoculars that enable the user to see and experience virtual objects.
The exhibition will run from 5 to 28 September and is located on the ground floor of the Bijenkorf, to the left of the Van Heek plein entrance.
