Unattended bikes that are parked at the central station of Enschede for more than 28 days will be removed by the municipality. This does not only give the station a better and cleaner look, it also means that there will be more rail slide parking space available.
Bike gone?
If the municipality removes an ‘orphaned’ bicycle, it will be taken to the new "Bicycle Depot Enschede" located at Lage Bothofstraat 300. The municipality gives the owners the opportunity to pick their bike up within 12 weeks. You can check if your bike is in the depot at the website www.verlorenofgevonden.nl.
If the bicycle is in the depot, the owner can retrieve the bicycle by paying € 12,50 to cover the costs of removing the bicycle. Owners who want to retrieve their bicycle must be able to identify themselves and prove (for example, by producing the right key) that the bicycle really belongs to them.
