Since last night Egbert van Hattem is the first Campus poet of the University of Twente.
Out of all entries, his bilingual poem ‘Ravelijn' was selected by the jury as the winning poem. Number two and three respectively were Leila Nahidi Azar and Beer Sijpesteijn.
The audience prize went to Leila Nahidi Azar.
Naming a first Campus poet was organized on the occasion of the anniversary of the University of Twente. The jury consisted of literary scout Jasper Henderson, editor UT News Menno Duursma and poet Catherine Ann Lombard and was chaired by Rector Magnificus Ed Brinksma. Presentation was held by Ineke Holzhaus and folk ensemble Gonnagles provided the musical entertainment.
