UT-spin-off Eurekite has been awarded with a grant by the European commission

UT-spin-off Eurekite has been awarded with the seal of excellence and the SME instrument phase 1 grant by the European commission. This achievement shows the high level of quality of Eurekite’s technology, as it is one of the most competitive grants with only less than 10% of the applications receiving it. The grant is meant to scale up production for the Flexiramics technology for the use in heat dissipation.

Eurekite’s breakthrough thermal management product has been developed by using flexible ceramic nanofibers (Flexiramics®). It exceeds the newest emerging performance requirements for heat dissipation in the $50 B electronic materials market. The company’s goal is to commercialize Flexiramics. Not only in the field of electronics, but also filtration and aerospace. Here Flexiramics provides a higher performance compared to the traditional materials.

The SME instrument grant will be used by Eurekite to prove the feasibility to scale up its technology. The company is currently running development projects with some of the largest electronic materials suppliers that will result in pilot production. The pilot production of Flexiramics will then be ramped up to industrial level in order to fulfill customer’s needs.
